Pete is interested in creating new narratives from existing photographs. Whether it
be from an old yearbook or old baseball pictures, he extract images from their original
context, to give them a new personal meaning.
Pete starts each piece with a tightly rendered watercolor
painting on paper. Once the watercolor is completed, he starts layering oil paint on top,
